Directors

Jozef Janov
Chairman of the Board

Ing. Jozef Janov is the founder of the Hartenberg Holding Company, which is the major shareholder of the FutureLife Company. He is Chair of FutureLife’s Board of Directors. He currently also manages the Imunoglukan, Good Food, and Orchard projects. In the past, he was involved in the Žabka Project and launched the Fortuna Entertainment Group Company on the stock exchanges in Prague and Warsaw. He studied finance at the University of Economics in Bratislava and completed German-language studies in corporate economics at the University of Martin Luther in Halle-Wittenberg.

František Tregler
Member of the Board

Ing. František Tregler, Ph.D. is the Investment Director of the Hartenberg Capital Company and Member of the FutureLife Company’s Board of Directors. He has worked for the Penta Investments Company since 2005, occupying positions as Chief Analyst, Director of the Investment Risk Division, and Financial Director of the Group from 2010. He is a graduate of doctoral studies at the University of Economics in Prague in financial management and corporate appraisal.

Matěj Stejskal
Member of the Board

JUDr. Matěj Stejskal has been the Managing Director of the Group and a member of the Board of Directors of FutureLife since 2016. He was formerly Director of the GENNET Company, which he co-founded and managed for 20 Years. GENNET is a leading health-care provider in assisted reproduction and genetics with branches in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Charles University.

Kateřina Batalová
Chairman of the Supervisory Board

Kateřina Batalová is Financial Manager at the Hartenberg Capital Company and the Chair of FutureLife’s Supervisory Board. Before working in the Hartenberg structure, she worked as Treasurer/Controller for Penta Investments. She obtained international experience in accounting in Sydney, Australia working for the Pavillion Beach Group Pty Ltd. Kateřina Batalová graduated from the University of Economics in Prague and Central College in Sydney.

Marek Koudelka
Member of the Supervisory Board

MUDr. (MD) Marek Koudelka, Ph.D. is a shareholder and Member of the FutureLife Company’s Supervisory Board. He has been Chief Physician for the entire group since 2016. He has worked in reproductive medicine for over twenty-five years. He was a student of Professor Ladislav Pilka, founder of assisted reproduction in the Czech Republic at the Gynaecological-Obstetric Clinic in Brno. He worked for several private clinics, after which he co-founded the Reprofit International Clinic in 2005, which he managed until 2015. He is a member of the SAR ČGPS and ESHRE Boards.

Štěpán Machač
Member of the Supervisory Board

MUDr. (MD) Štěpán Machač, Ph.D. is a shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board of FutureLife. He is Chief Physician at the IVF Clinic Olomouc and Reprofit Ostrava Clinic. He was formerly Chief Physician for foreign patients and donation of oocytes at the Reprofit International Company in Brno, which he co-founded in 2008. Before working at Reprofit, he was a specialist in treating infertility at the Unica Brno Clinic, after working at the Obstetrics-gynaecology clinic at the Teaching Hospital in Olomouc. He graduated from the Medical Faculty at Palacky University in Olomouc, where he also completed his doctoral studies. He has completed several residencies in Cambridge, Orense, and Jerusalem. He is a member of SAR ČGPS and ESHRE.

Milada Zgaburová
Member of the Supervisory Board

MUDr. (MD) Milada Zgaburová visited the Medical Faculty at Charles University in Hradec Králové between 1975 and 1981, graduating in General Medicine. Between 1983 and 1988 she worked as an independent and consultant physician at the internal department of Cheb Hospital. She worked as a General Practitioner and Internal Physician from 1988 for government administration in Prague. In 2001, she commenced independent, private activities in internal and general medicine and simultaneously established a smaller private clinic in Hostivice, specialising in cardiology, rheumatology, immuno-allergology, and other sub-branches of internal medicine, which operated until 2012. She currently works as an independent specialist physician at the JL Clinic in Prague. She has been the Vice-Chair of the FutureLife Company’s Supervisory Board since 2016.

Miroslav Janov
Member of the Supervisory Board

Mgr. Miroslav Janov is an investment manager at the Hartenberg Capital Company and a member of the Supervisory Board of the FutureLife Company. He mainly supervises medical investments in the Czech Republic, particularly clinics under the Sanus brand. Before working in the Hartenberg structure, he worked as investment analyst for the Penta Investments Company. As an investment analyst, he administered projects for expansion of the Žabka retail chain into the Czech Republic, development of the Pet Center retail chain in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and organic development of the Fortuna Group. Miroslav Janov studied management at Komensky University in Bratislava and Ghent University in Belgium.

Libor Němeček
Member of the Supervisory Board

Libor Němeček, Ph.D., is a partner at the Hartenberg Capital Company and Member of FutureLife’s Supervisory Board. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of AGROFERT and Director of Acquisitions and Corporate Financing for the Group. Before coming to AGROFERT he worked in various positions for Citigroup in Prague, London, and Budapest, most recently as Director of Corporate Financing in the Czech Republic. He was also involved in a number of transactions in debt financing, M&A, and strategic consultancy for major Czech and international companies. Libor Němeček graduated in informatics from the Mathematical-Physical Faculty at Charles University. He obtained a Ph.D. in economics at the CERGE institute and studied in the Ph.D. programme for economics at Princeton University thanks to a Fullbright scholarship.

Michal Vepřek

Ing. Michal Vepřek has been the Financial Director of the group and a member of the FutureLife Supervisory Board since 2016. He was formerly the Financial Director of the Fortuna Entertainment Group, which he launched on the Prague and Warsaw stock exchanges. Before working for Fortuna, he worked as a private equity investment analyst for the Penta Investments Company, where he oversaw telecommunications and lottery projects. He graduated in International business at the University of Economics in Prague and also attended international study programmes at the NHH in Bergen and the London School of Economics in London.

Ladislav Zgabur
Management member

MUDr. (MD) Ladislav Zgabur is a graduate of the Medical Faculty at Charles University and the Military Medical Research and Training Institute at Jan Purkyně University in Hradec Králové, field of General Medicine. He began working in health care management positions in 1990. He worked as the Administrative Director managing healthcare, the spa industry, and recreation for the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic until 1992. He was one of the founders of the Health Insurance Company of the Ministry of the Interior and its first health director. Between 1995 and 2002, he acted in management positions at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and at the VZP health insurance company. He began working on many private sector health care projects in 2002, and was chiefly involved in the consolidation of laboratories in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He was also a major participant in the origin and development of the FUTURE LAB (now SYNLAB) Group and the AESKULAB Holding. In 2014, he prepared the FutureLife Group project, which he achieved in close cooperation with the HARTENBERG Company. He is currently involved in specialist management and other acquisitions for the FutureLife Company.

Michal Vepřek
CFO

Ing. Michal Vepřek has been the Financial Director of the group and a member of the FutureLife Supervisory Board since 2016. He was formerly the Financial Director of the Fortuna Entertainment Group, which he launched on the Prague and Warsaw stock exchanges. Before working for Fortuna, he worked as a private equity investment analyst for the Penta Investments Company, where he oversaw telecommunications and lottery projects. Ondřej Koutek
Management member

Ondřej Koutek has been the IT Manager at FutureLife since 2015. He formerly worked as an IT system specialist for Penta Investments, where he was also in charge of document administration and backup technologies. Before this, he worked as an independent IT consultant.
